The Roots
Due to its age, the exact origin of the shisha is unknown. However, there are theories of the North Indian origin of the water pipe, as it was frequently reported during the Mongol period.
The Story
The current form of the shisha was spread thanks to the Persian Empire. Smoking water pipes has been known in Europe since the end of the 19th century and is becoming increasingly popular in Europe as an alternative to a night out in a club.
